Fans go crazy for Jim Carrey's Golden Globes skit
By Alicia Vrajlal, Yahoo Lifestyle Australia
Jim Carrey managed to grab the attention of the whole room within the first few minutes of the Golden Globes, and frankly, Twitter is loving it.
Fans have taken to the social media platform to praise the 56-year-old actor, after he hilariously responded to hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh asking him to leave the movies section of the audience as he’s nominated for a TV show, not a film.
“OK @JimCarrey’s reaction to his name being called was the funniest thing yet,” one fan wrote.

During their opening segment, Golden Globes hosts Andy and Sandra asked Jim to kindly change seats, as he was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy in TV show Kidding, not a film.
“You’re kidding, right?” Jim quipped back.
“I just finished a film, it’s called Sonic the Hedgehog,” he continued, adding it was to be released in November.
But when told that wouldn’t make a difference, he obliged to move.
“Alright I’m going, should I take my dinner too? I wouldn’t want to leave any of my DNA in the film section,” he said.
The actor even went on to hold up some drinking glasses like binoculars, claiming it was harder to see the stage from the TV section.
