'Bond 25' production 'halted after Daniel Craig suffers injury on set'
Production on Bond 25 has reportedly come to a halt after Daniel Craig suffered an injury on set.
The actor, 51, who has played 007 since 2005, is believed to have slipped and hurt his ankle during a scene shot in Jamaica.
According to The Sun, Craig was filming a running scene wearing a suit and smart shoes when he fell awkwardly and hurt his foot.
“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” a source told the newspaper. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.

“As you’d expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened. He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration.”
According to the report, production at Pinewood Studios in London, scheduled to begin this weekend, has been cancelled until Craig has recovered.
It’s not the first time the actor has sustained an injury while playing the British spy. While shooting Casino Royale, Craig had two of his teeth knocked out during his first stunt scene in the role.
A few years later he tore a muscle in his shoulder, hurt his ribs and sliced off the tip of his fourth finger on the set of Quantum of Solace.
Then in 2015, while shooting Spectre, production was postponed for two weeks so he could recover from a knee injury.
Bond 25 has experienced a lot of behind-the-scenes drama already. Danny Boyle quit as director along with his writing partner John Hodge over creative differences regarding the script with long-time Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and Cary Joji Fukunaga was brought in.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge was then brought in as a writer by Craig, who also serves as a producer, in order to “make the women feel like real people” after years of rather two-dimensional Bond girls.

More recently, after the cast and crew was announced for the latest 007 instalment, new reports suggested a script was still not finished and they were struggling with a title.
“They don’t have a script, there’s no title, it is nearly five years since the last Bond. It starts with a retired Bond living in wedded bliss, but the rest of the script is still being worked over,” a source for Page Six.
This was backed up by the Daily Mail who says the script is constantly being re-written.
Fingers crossed these issues will be wrapped up in time for Bond 25 to keep its release on April 3, 2020.
