They're not the only pop culture icons who look set to be recreated this Halloween, though - a close second for female costume choices was Wednesday Addams as inspired by Jenna Ortega in the Netflix series Wednesday.
In third place for female costumes is a Doja Cat demon outfit, followed by Halle Bailey's Little Mermaid in fourth and then M3gan from the 2022 horror film about a life-like doll who turns sinister.
Rivalling Ken for male Halloween costumes is another of 2023's biggest box office hits, Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer.
The Mandalorian is a popular choice in third place and there's further movie inspiration in fourth place with Super Mario - something Adam Thomas recently gave a nod to in Strictly Come Dancing's movie week.
Fifth most popular male costume is one that has become something of a modern classic for Halloween, former US president Donald Trump.
BonusInsider put together the list by collating the most viewed hashtags for Halloween costume themes on TikTok with the number of Google searches according to Google Trends.
They estimate that Barbie will be the trending female Halloween costume with just under 50% popularity, while Ken comes in at just over 50% in the male costume list.
Barbie fans can also watch Greta Gerwig's movie at home now, as it is available to rent or buy on Prime Video and Apple TV.
Barbie and Oppenheimer, the movie hits of the summer, opened on the same weekend in July with Barbie taking the top spot, making $100m (£77.9m) at the US domestic box office over the weekend.
Oppenheimer still made $50m (£38.9m) - making history as the first time a film has taken $50m in ticket sales at the same time as a movie made over $100m.
