Meghan and Harry Attend Women's Empowerment Event
Meghan Markle, who is making women's empowerment her passion cause as a soon-to-be royal family member, just arrived with Prince Harry to London's Women Empowerment reception tonight. It's their second event together this week as the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting continues. Markle chose to wear an elegant knee-length black dress for the occasion. Harry wore a navy suit.

The night just started there, but the two are already having cute couple moments:
According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, the two will "meet reps from relevant charities and organizations that work to promote global gender equality through girls' education (such as the Malala Fund, Varkey Foundation, Plan International and CodeCamp)."

Markle spoke in February at the Royal Foundation Forum about why she believes so strongly in giving a spotlight to female empowerment organizations. "I hear a lot of people speaking about girls' empowerment and women's' empowerment," Markle started. "You’ll often hear people say well, you’re helping women find their voices. And I fundamentally disagree with that because women don't need to find their voices, they have a voice. They need to be empowered to use it, and people need to be encouraged to listen. And I think right now in the climate that we’re seeing so many campaigns-I mean, #MeToo and TimesUp-there's no better time than [now] to really continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people really helping to support them…It [the spotlight] makes such a tremendous difference."
