Watch: Grizzlies center Zach Edey picks up summer league technical foul after skirmish

Zach Edey may fit in just fine with the Memphis Grizzlies. Along with the talent the 7-foot-4 rookie center possesses, he looks like he has some of the grit that Grizzlies fans are accustomed to watching.

Edey showcased that in the second quarter of the Grizzlies' opening summer league game Monday in Salt Lake City when Jake LaRavia was knocked to the floor by Utah Jazz forward Brice Sensabaugh. As Sensabaugh walked away, Edey gave him a slight shoulder nudge and knocked him off balance. Jazz guard Keyonte George walked toward Edey, which led to the two needing to be separated.

George and Edey were given double technical fouls after the play was reviewed.

Edey's play on the floor hasn't been bad, either. He had two points, six rebounds and two blocks in the first quarter. He also set strong screens to free up teammates.

How Edey plays throughout summer league will be closely monitored, but it looks like he already has the enforcer part of his game down.
