USA Basketball vs France recap: Stephen Curry leads Americans to Olympic gold medal

The United States men's basketball team will face France in the gold medal game of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Team USA earned a 95-91 win over Serbia in the semifinals on Thursday. France earned a 73-69 win over Germany in the semifinals on Thursday.

The Golden State Warriors guard scored a game-high 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting on 3-pointers — including four down the stretch — to lift Team USA to a fifth straight gold medal in Olympic men's basketball.

Kevin Durant and Devin Booker each added 15 points for Team USA, while LeBron James had 14.

Victor Wembanyama scored 26points and Guerschon Yabusele had 20 to lead France.

Devin Booker has 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting to lead Team USA, which has nine players recording points.

Who is Guerschon Yabusele?

French power forward Guerschon Yabusele has had a stellar Olympic run.

He has 12 points already in the first half, including a dunk over LeBron James.

The 28-year-old Yabusele, who was the 16th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Celtics, only played 74 games in two seasons with Boston. He averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.

Nikola Jokic, Serbia beat Germany for bronze medal

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double to lead Serbia past Germany 93-83 for the bronze medal on Saturday in Paris.

Jokic had 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Former Thunder guard Vasilije Micic scored 19 points and Bogdan Bogdanovic added 16 for Serbia.

Franz Wagner led Germany with 18 points, while former Thunder guard Dennis Schroder added 13 points.
