CLEMSON — Clemson football rose from No. 20 to No. 19 in the Week 4 US LBM Coaches Poll released on Sunday.

The Tigers (1-1) received 340 points and no first-place votes. They were the No. 2-ranked ACC team, finishing behind Miami, which was No. 11 with 831 points.

Clemson went up in the polls after during its Week 3 open week. It returns to action Saturday (noon ET, ABC) against NC State (2-1) at Memorial Stadium.

One other ACC school made the Top 25: Louisville (333) at No. 20.

ACC teams that did not make the Top 25 but received votes were Syracuse (32 points, 30th on poll), Pittsburgh (17, 32nd), North Carolina (14, 36th), NC State (12, 37th), California (10, 38th) and Boston College (6, 42nd).

Georgia remained at No. 1 in the poll, earning 1,358 points and 42 first-place votes. Texas was No. 2 with 1,301 points and 10 first-place votes, while No. 3 Ohio State earned three first-place votes.

The weekly poll is voted on by a panel of coaches chosen by random draw. Voters submit a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place worth 24, and so on down to one point for 25th, according to USA TODAY Sports.

Clemson rankings update

In the AP poll, Clemson went from No. 22 to No. 21, receiving 291 points. It sits behind Miami (No. 8, 1,094 points) and Louisville (No. 19, 418) in the conference.

ACC teams that did not make the Top 25 but received votes were Syracuse (62 points, 28th on poll), Boston College (47, 30th), California (11, 35th) and North Carolina (3, 40th).

Texas overtook Georgia for No. 1 in the AP poll, earning 1,540 points and 35 first-place votes. Georgia dropped to No. 2 with 23 first-place votes, while Ohio State remained at No. 3 with five first-place votes.
