Tyreek Hill detained: What we know about Miami Dolphins star's run-in with police
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by law enforcement officers outside of Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday morning.
Images and videos of Hill in handcuffs made rounds on social media and according to a statement released by the Dolphins, several of his teammates were also involved in the incident.
Hill went on to play in the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, helping his team come away with a 20-17 victory.

Did Tyreek Hill get arrested?
No, the key word is detained. Hill did receive a citation for a traffic violation which reportedly led to the verbal altercation that led to him being detained.

Did Tyreek Hill play on Sunday after being detained?
Hill did play on Sunday and delivered an 80-yard touchdown reception that swung momentum for the Dolphins. His final stat line was seven catches for 130 yards and one touchdown.
What are police saying?
The Miami-Dade Police account on X released two statements from Director Stephanie V. Daniels on Sunday. The police department has launched an internal investigation and one of the officers involved has been "placed on "placed on administrative duties" in the interim.
However, the police have declined to release the body cam footage to the public.

Is there body cam footage of Tyreek Hill being detained?
They are not required to release their body cams and Miami-Dade Police put out a statement this morning that one won't be coming today. The Palm Beach Post has put in a request for that footage whenever it's made available.
What did Tyreek Hill say about his detainment?
He posed a question. What if he wasn't Tyreek Hill? He also said he wants to make this a positive and wants to work with the Miami-Dade Police department to achieve that.
How is Calais Campbell involved?
Campbell was one of several teammates who came to Hill's aid. He spoke to NFL Network after the game yesterday and appeared on ESPN's First Take this morning.
Campbell, who said after Sunday's game that he, too, was temporarily detained by police, said Hill asked his teammates not to leave him during the incident.
“For him to put handcuffs on me, I felt some type of way. But that just goes to show how resilient we are. We didn't let that stop us.”

There is not a full list of players but in a TMZ video, Odell Beckham Jr. can be seen looking on as Hill speaks with officers. Campbell can also be spotted in this video. Safety Jevon Holland also spoke out about the incident after the game.
