Titans pick Michigan DE Jaylen Harrell at No. 252 of NFL draft 2024. Our scouting report
The Tennessee Titans finished adding talent in the 2024 NFL Draft with their seventh-round selection.
The Titans picked defensive end Jaylen Harrell from Michigan with the No. 252 pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft Saturday. Harrell joins a draft class that also includes first-round pick JC Latham, an offensive tackle out of Alabama, and second-round pick T'Vondre Sweat, a defensive tackle out of Texas.
The Titans have had a busy offseason, adding wide receiver Calvin Ridley, cornerbacks L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie, running back Tony Pollard and center Lloyd Cushenberry III, among others, to reinvent a team that is moving on after the end of the Mike Vrabel, Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill era.
Jaylen Harrell scouting report
Harrell, at 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, led Michigan with nine tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks as the Wolverines won the national championship. He was twice named honorable mention All Big Ten and played in 14 games in 2021 before his successful run began.
He's the son of an eight-year NFL pro in James Harrell.
Harrell primarily played stand-up outside linebacker in 2023 but rotated a little bit inside the box and at slot corner. He roved between the left and right side.
He also was named to the academic all-Big Ten team three times.
