Offensive line gets another shakeup due to injury

Three games into the season, the left side of the Texas Tech offensive line will look completely new.

Left guard Vinny Sciury is out for the season with a knee injury and starting left tackle Sterling Porcher will miss today's game with a head injury.

Caleb Rogers has already moved over to the starting left guard position in place of Sciury. With Porcher out, look for Dalton Merryman to occupy the left tackle position against UNT.

Tahj Brooks reportedly expected back for Texas Tech football

ESPN's Pete Thamel posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Texas Tech star running back Tahj Brooks is expected to return to the field for the Red Raiders in today's game. Brooks missed last week's loss at Washington State with an arm injury. He was considered questionable on Monday's availability report released by Tech.

Tech confirmed this with its pregame availability report. Brooks was not listed among the players listed as out for the contest, marking Brooks' return to action.
