Terrel Bernard missed two games with a pectoral injury earlier this season.

He went down twice against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Bernard suffered a head injury in the second quarter and was initially ruled questionable to return but was back on the field to begin the second half.

Then in the third quarter Bernard's foot was stepped on while he was rushing the passer. Bernard grabbed his right ankle after the play before walking off with athletic trainers and went into the medical tent.

Bernard emerged from the medical tent on the timeout between the third and fourth quarters and began running to test his ankle. Shortly after he walked to the Bills locker room and was downgraded to out.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott did not have an update on Bernard after the game.

Bernard's first injury was in the first half on a 20-yard loss by the Titans offense. A.J. Epenesa got a strip sack on quarterback Mason Rudolph and the ball was kicked around before it was eventually recovered by center Lloyd Cushenberry III.

Bernard stayed down and was looked at by medical trainers before walking to the sideline under his own power. He went into the medical tent but walked out of the medical tent with his helmet on and rejoined his teammates on the sideline.
