Tennessee Titans to sign veteran OT, frequent Bill Callahan student Geron Christian
The Tennessee Titans are adding another veteran tackle to their offensive line room by signing offensive lineman Geron Christian, the team announced Wednesday.
Christian started nine games for the Cleveland Browns last season under the tutelage of offensive line coach Bill Callahan, who is the new offensive line coach of the Titans. Callahan was also the offensive line coach in Washington when the franchise now known as the Commanders drafted Christian in the third round. Christian has started 25 games and played in 58, taking nearly every of his career at left tackle.
Christian joins a crowded group of newcomers in the offensive line room that also includes first-round pick JC Latham, center Lloyd Cushenberry and tackle Leroy Watson. Watson and Christian were teammates in Cleveland last season.
Before Cleveland, Christian also played for Houston, Kansas City and Washington. Christian, 27, will compete for reps at tackle with Latham and Watson, as well as returning Titans Nicholas Petit-Frere, Jaelyn Duncan and John Ojukwu.
