Tennessee baseball OF Dylan Dreiling named College World Series Most Outstanding Player

Dylan Dreiling's stellar performance in the College World Series earned the proper recognition on Monday.

The Tennessee baseball left fielder was named the College World Series' Most Outstanding Player after the Vols' 6-5 victory over Texas A&M to earn the first national championship in program history.

Dreiling hit home runs in every CWS finals game, including a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning of Game 2 and a two-run homer in the seventh inning of Game 3. Monday's home run extended the Vols' lead to 5-1 at a crucial time in the deciding game.

The sophomore finished with a .541 batting average and 11 RBIs to go along with three home runs in six CWS games.

Dreiling began the CWS with a 4-for-6 day against Florida State, including the walk-off hit in Tennessee's 12-11 comeback victory on June 14.

The native of Hays, Kansas, had a breakout 2024 season as the everyday left fielder for the Vols, hitting 23 home runs and producing 73 RBIs while hitting .341 in the cleanup spot of the dynamic Tennessee lineup.
