Tee Higgins doubtful to play in Bengals' upcoming game vs. Chiefs

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is doubtful to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, according to head coach Zac Taylor.

If Higgins is unable to play in Week 2, it will be the second consecutive game he’s missed with his hamstring injury. Higgins injured his hamstring on Sept. 5 in practice and hasn’t practiced since. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is expected to get his full workload in the game after practicing all week as a full participant.

Taylor also said rookies Amarius Mims and Kris Jenkins are also doubtful. Mims is dealing with a pectoral injury and Jenkins underwent surgery on his thumb after suffering an injury in practice ahead of the season opener.

Tight end Tanner Hudson is doubtful to play with a knee injury. Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Erick All will carry the load at tight end if Hudson is unable to play.

The Bengals take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
