Steelers QB Russell Wilson takes first-team reps at training camp
FINALLY! Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson is officially back at practice.
Training camp is 10 days in, and though he'd been on the practice field, Wilson had not taken reps after sustaining a calf injury in the opening drills portion of Day 1 of practice.
Instead, Justin Fields has been taking first-team reps to mostly positive reviews. Per Steelers Depot's Alex Kozora, Fields went 65-for-88 (73.9 percent) for 627 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions through six practices.
The Steelers will ease Wilson back into live reps, as the two quarterbacks are rotating with the ones.
Despite Fields' having the upper hand in camp by default, the starting gig remains Wilson's to lose.
