South Carolina women's basketball 2024-25 SEC schedule announced, including LSU, Tennessee
COLUMBIA — Start the countdown, only 134 more days until South Carolina women's basketball begins SEC play.
On Wednesday, the SEC unveiled South Carolina's full conference schedule, which includes a home game against LSU and road game at Tennessee.
Coach Dawn Staley and the undefeated national champion Gamecocks open their season in Las Vegas on Nov. 4 against Michigan. SEC play starts on Jan. 2 for South Carolina and the SEC tournament begins March 5 in Greenville.
The only home-and-home series for South Carolina will be against SEC newcomer Texas, led by former Mississippi State coach Vic Schaefer, who has been with the Longhorns since 2020. Texas was ranked No. 6 on ESPN's way-too-early-top-25 list, the highest ranked SEC opponent after the Gamecocks, who were ranked No. 1. South Carolina will host Texas on Jan. 12 and will travel to Austin on Feb. 9. Six SEC teams the Gamecocks face this year were ranked.
Tipoff times and television details will be announced later. Here is the Gamecocks' full SEC schedule for 2024-25:
