South Carolina baseball transfer tracker: Who's in, who's out for new coach Paul Mainieri
COLUMBIA — South Carolina fired head baseball coach Mark Kingston after seven seasons and now former LSU coach Paul Mainieri will takeover the program.

The transfer portal opened for baseball on June 3. Players can enter their names until it closes on July 2. Players 21 and older or have completed their junior seasons are eligible to be selected in the 2024 MLB Draft.

Who is leaving South Carolina baseball?
Jevarra Martin: Freshman LHP with three years of eligibility ⅔remaining. Played in one game for South Carolina, did not pitch. On May 31, Martin announced on social media he would enter the transfer portal.
Austin Williamson: Sophomore LHP with two years of eligibility remaining. Played in 18 games as a freshman in 2023 and three as a sophomore. Pitched 1⅔ innings against Belmont on Feb. 24, and struck out two. Williamson announced on social media on May 30 that he would be entering the portal.
Tristan Salinas: Salinas, an infielder, leaves the Gamecocks with four years of eligibility remaining as he did not play any games for South Carolina in the 2024 season.
Carson Hornung: Hornung announced he was leaving after three years with South Carolina. The junior infielder played in seven games this past season. In his sophomore year, he had 37 starts and played 48 games. He enters the portal with a .227 batting average and a .347 slugging percentage.
Jackson Phipps: Phipps entered the portal with two years of eligibility remaining. The redshirt junior did not pitch in 2024, and leaves South Carolina with 21 total games played.
Who is joining South Carolina baseball?
Cayden Gaskin: Gaskin, an infielder, comes to South Carolina from Northwest Florida State College. The JUCO transfer will be a junior this upcoming season and in his first two years, logged 10 home runs, 122 hits, 115 runs and a .346 batting average.
Ashton Crowther: Crowther is a pitcher who announced he was joining the Gamecocks on June 24, after starting his college career at Miami. He had had a 7.36 ERA and 46 hits this past season and will be a redshirt sophomore for South Carolina.
Nathan Hall: Hall wrote on social media on June 24 that he will be transferring from Clemson to South Carolina. Hall, from Lexington, played just 12 games in the outfield for the Tigers in his second season at Clemson and comes to the Gamecocks with one home run and 15 RBI.
Nolan Nawrocki: Nawrocki is the second Tigers player to move in-state to the Gamecocks. The 6-foot-1 infielder redshirted after his freshman season and played 36 games for Clemson. An infielder, Nawrocki had four homers, 33 hits and 28 runs.
