Social media raves about Spencer Rattler after preseason finale
Spencer Rattler was the talk of the New Orleans Saints’ preseason finale against the Tennessee Titans. His touchdown pass was an absolute perfect throw. The finale was looked at as a potential deciding factor in his battle with Jake Haener. If this was his final shot to stake claim as the backup quarterback to Derek Carr, Rattler made the most of his opportunity.
This is similar to the buzz he received after the first preseason game. The stakes were higher here. Still, his ability to show high upside in two of three preseason games as a rookie should spark confidence in Rattler.
Fans loved his performance Sunday, and that love extended beyond the Saints fan base. On social media, fans and media members alike praised Rattler’s performance on Sunday, as well as his overall preseason:

IMO: If Spencer Rattler didn't win the backup job with that performance, it was never really there to be won.
