Seahawks sign CB Willie Roberts
The acquistion team in the Seattle Seahawks' front office is earning their pay today. Earlier on Thursday afternoon it was reported the Seahawks signed linebacker Blake Lynch to a one-year deal. However, Lynch is not the only defender Seattle has added.
The Seahawks signed cornerback Willie Roberts from Louisiana Tech.
After spending the first three years of his collegiate career at Stephen F. Austin, Roberts found himself becoming a Louisiana Tech Bulldog in 2022 and 2023. With the Bulldogs, Roberts played in all 24 games possible, where he recorded 67 total tackles and snagged five interceptions.
Roberts joins an already crowded cornerback room filled with the likes of Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen, Tre Brown and Nehemiah Pritchett.
In order to make room for Roberts, unfortunately defensive tackle Matt Gotel was waived.
