Multiple fights break out at Seahawks practice
We may be nearing the end of the dog days of summer, but we are still in them. Right now, it seems the Seattle Seahawks are feeling it a bit more than usual today. Reports from the boots on the ground at practice have been saying there have been multiple skirmishes and even fights breaking out.
CRAZY:
Here is the Full fight on NFL Network.
Look likes it was intense at the #Seahawks camp:

And now a serious scuffle between Brown and Metcalf. Metcalf grabbed Brown’s helmet and threw it at him. Macdonald now calling team together for a quick lecture. Now practice has resumed.

Multiple scraps again today. Especially in goal line period. First Tyrel Dodson and Pharaoh Brown got into it, igniting a scrum.
Next play, DK & Tre Brown post-play arguing & shoving Led to DK ripping off Tre helmet, swinging & hitting K’Von Wallace, who was trying to diffuse.— Dugar, Michael-Shawn (@MikeDugar) August 7, 2024
The scuffling has continued. Dee Eskridge and Carlton Johnson went at it after a play in 11-on-11. Then it was Christian Haynes and Derek Hall in the pass-rush drill. Macdonald came over and did not look pleased while addressing the OL and DL. Haynes and Hall then left practice.

The Longest Yard #Seahawks practice continues. 1-on-1 pass rush drill: Rookie G Christian Haynes pushes LB Derick Hall, who jaws back at Haynes. Haynes pushes. Hall fights.

It is one thing to have emotions and intensity flowing at practice. It is another thing entirely for a team to start losing composure like this. Yes, the Seahawks are ultra competitive, but they are still teammates and engaging in this kind of extracirricular activity could lead to needless injuries.
Still, iron does sharpen iron, and perhaps the team will be better because of these early dust ups. If there is one "positive" to glean it is the fact these scuffles are reminding Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell of a certain era of Seattle football...
This is as close to those early, Legion of Boom camp practices than I’ve seen in 10 years https://t.co/g1ttCbVRvf

Perhaps the Seahawks have a different mentality. A more competitive one, even if it means going against fellow teammates. Regardless, I can assume head coach Mike Macdonald is not thrilled with a breakdown like this. Competition is fine, but if practice keeps getting disrupted then it is not productive in the long run.
We at Seahawks Wire will continue to update if any more news comes from these skirmishes.
