It is Witt’s second time winning the award this season as he played nearly flawless baseball in a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox over the weekend.
During the entire series, Witt was only called out twice, going 9-for-11 with a home run and three RBIs. He also had three hits in every game of the series.
But those numbers are just a sample size of Witt what has done all season, helping put the Royals right in the thick of playoff contention.
