He is the first Royal this season to pitch a nine-inning complete game. Cole Ragans had a complete game vs. the Toronto Blue Jays but the game was called in the 5th inning due to weather back in April.
The game was scoreless going into the 6th inning before White Sox outfielder Tommy Pham hit an RBI single that brought in a run.
The Royals responded the very next inning, tying the game on a Kyle Isbel sacrifice bunt, that scored Maikel Garcia.
In the bottom of the 8th, the Royals broke the game open. Hunter Renfroe gave the Royals a 2-1 lead on an RBI single and then back-to-back RBI singles from Garcia and Dairon Blanco put the Royals up 4-1.
