CLEMSON — Clemson football begins its quest to return to the College Football Playoff on Aug. 31 against Georgia (noon ET, ABC) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Tigers enter the matchup ranked No. 14 in the US LBM coaches and Associated Press preseason polls while the Bulldogs open at No. 1 in both. After Clemson won its fewest games since 2010 last season, coach Dabo Swinney looks to return his program to national prominence.

Clemson returns eight starters on offense and three on defense and has added the nation's 11th-ranked recruiting class, according to 247Sports. It looks to have another dominant defense in tandem with an improved offense in Year 2 with offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and quarterback Cade Klubnik.
