A versatile, athletic wing, Middleton appeared in 30 of Ohio State's 36 games and averaged 4.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per appearance. He made one start.

"I love Buckeye Nation and appreciate all the support throughout the season," Middleton told The Dispatch. "It's been hard at times, but that's when it's the funniest and you create those memorable moments. Thank you to everybody I've come across during my time here."

Middleton shot 45.2% (28 for 62) from 3-point range. In his final five games, he was a combined 10 for 13 from deep.

At Ohio State, guard Scotty Middleton played in 30 of 36 games with one start and averaged 4.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per appearance.

A four-star recruit, Middleton was ranked the No. 60 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class.

Middleton was suspended for one game midseason due to an unspecified violation of team rules. He missed two other games with a foot injury and did not appear in the NIT while spending time back home dealing with a family situation, the program announced. Ohio State went 2-1 in the NIT before losing to Georgia in the quarterfinals.

Middleton is the second member of the 2023-24 roster to enter the portal, joining guard Bowen Hardman.
