Ohio State’s Scotty Middleton announces transfer to Seton Hall

Ohio State transfer Scotty Middleton has committed to Seton Hall.

Middleton, who played his freshman year with the Buckeyes, has three years of eligibility remaining.

“It’s been an honor to suit up and become a Buckeye,” he told The Dispatch. “It means a lot to me to able to say I was a part of team 125 a special group of guys who never gave up and showed what it means to be a Buckeye. All the lessons and people I have come across will never be forgotten. I appreciate Buckeye Nation and will never forget my time in Columbus.”

A four-star wing who played for Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, Middleton established himself as a member of the Ohio State rotation and averaged 4.4 points and 1.4 rebounds while appearing in 30 games. He missed one game due to an unspecified violation of team rules and did play in the NIT, missing all three games while dealing with what was announced as a family situation back home in Florida.

He is one of five Buckeyes to enter the portal this offseason, joining Bowen Hardman, Zed Key, Roddy Gayle and Felix Okpara. Key has committed to Dayton and Gayle to Michigan.
