National reactions: Some are split on the Jets' decision to trade for Davante Adams
The New York Jets shook the NFL world for the second-straight week.
Just days after firing head coach Robert Saleh and hours following a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills (4-2) on "Monday Night Football," the Jets have traded for All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams in a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The move was speculated for weeks and has now become a reality.
However, national media reactions are split on the idea. Was this the right move for New York?

Can’t wait for the Jets to get Adams and still be bad. Who are we gonna blame next ? Surely it won’t be the quarterback

Jason Fitzgerald, Over The Cap
If the Raiders are not picking up Adams' salary it would probably explain why Reddick was given the option to seek a trade as this will help the Jets balance the finances

My biggest concern for Davante Adams-
How is he gonna find a house in New Jersey with a Taco Bell inside?
Can’t be many listings like that.— Kyle Brandt (@KyleBrandt) October 15, 2024
Bill Simmons, The Ringer
The Jets blow a must-win Monday night game because of their run defense and their kicker and 110 yards of penalties… and then they panic-trade for Davante Adams. They’re the best.

Skip Bayless, FS1
Davante Adams won’t be able to save the Jets. Going on 32, he’s not quite what he once. His “beloved” quarterback, going on 41, definitely isn’t.
