The New York Jets (2-4) hosted the Buffalo Bills (4-2) in their Week 6 matchup on "Monday Night Football" at MetLife Stadium. It was a 23-20 final in favor of the visitors.

It was the start of a new era under the watch of interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. It didn't end up on the right end of the ledger, but there's plenty to breakdown.

Here are five takeaways from the Jets' 23-20 loss to the Bills in Week 6:

Jets had a spark

While the Jets did not end up on the positive side of things, it looked better. At least on offense.

The Jets were fresh off of firing head coach Robert Saleh and demoting offensive coordinator Nate Hackett. The offense now with Todd Downing calling the plays had more of a rhythm and quarterback Aaron Rodgers nearly surpassed 300 yards passing (294).

Wind plays a part

Between both teams, four kicks were missed. Between the scoreboard and the momentum, that changes a game.

Rodgers has some magic

Of Rodgers' 23-for-35 day with two touchdowns and an interception, his biggest play was at the end of the first half. A 52-yard "Hail Mary" pass at the end of the first half kept the Jets in the game. It looked like they would be down 20-10, but instead the QB chucked up a prayer and wide receiver Allen Lazard hauled it in.

That made this a completely different game... and Rodgers showed signs of some magic in that moment.

Breece has a day

Finally... running back Breece Hall had night to remember.

After a few outings that were poor, Hall hit the 100-yard mark on the ground (113) and featured in the pass game as usual. In that light, Hall caught five passes for 56 yards but his one miss was a drop.

Missed opportunity

For all the positives... the Jets still lost. It was a chance for them to erase the start of the season and all the woes they had and it fell short.

What Ulbrich needs to do is build on those positives. The weather played a part but if a few things are cleaned up, the team could still turn it around. Namely, don't take 11 penalties for 110 yards lost.
