How Nashville Predators are changing lineup for key game vs St Louis Blues during three-game losing streak

Ahead of a key matchup between the Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues - one that could change the dynamic of the Western Conference wild card race - coach Andrew Brunette is making two changes to the lineup.

At morning skate held at Bridgestone Arena, forward Anthony Beauvillier skated with Colton Sissons and Jason Zucker, a spot that had previously been held by Cody Glass.

Luke Evangelista skated with the team's first power play unit, a spot that was also previously occupied by Glass.

These lineup changes come after the Predators lost their third straight game Tuesday, a 3-0 loss to the Boston Bruins. After the game, Brunette said while he liked what his team did at even strength, he thought the power play was "too slow."

"It's the difference in some of these games right now," Brunette said of the team's power play, which went scoreless in four attempts against the Bruins.

While Evangelista doesn't bring blazing speed to a power play, he does bring considerable skill. He's scored two goals and four assists on the power play this season, in addition to 13 goals and 14 assists at even strength.

"We need to be better on (the power play)," Brunette said. "We've got to get back into the flow."

On the lineup changes, Brunette thinks a slight change might give the Predators a little better chance to open up the game, as well as take the pressure off players who might be struggling.

"The harder you squeeze things, the harder it comes to get the results," Brunette said.
