Miami Dolphins updates Day 11 vs. Falcons: Latest news, highlights from NFL training camp

MIAMI GARDENS - The Miami Dolphins challenged the Atlanta Falcons in a joint practice at training camp on Day 11, Tuesday at Baptist Health.

Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and coach Mike McDaniel were taking on Kirk Cousins, Bijan Robinson, London Drake, Kyle Pitts and coach Raheem Morris.

"I think you’re going to see a couple teams that are really excited to play against someone else," McDaniel said. "We are at that time of training camp where it is tough sledding in terms of you’ve used all of your moves and your counters. So it’ll be a breath of fresh air."

Highlights from Tuesday's Miami Dolphins vs. Atlanta Falcons practice

Miami Dolphins practice updates

  • Not spotted as practice begins: Braxton Berrios, Chris Brooks, Erik Ezukanma, Anthony Walker Jr., Jordyn Brooks, Mo Kamara, Jordan Poyer, Salvon Ahmed. Waddle is here but not working.

  • Duke Riley wore the orange jersey.

  • After loosening up and individual drills, coaches call all players together in a circle and address both teams, no doubt encouraging players to work hard but not go overboard with the physicality and get anyone hurt.

  • Willie Snead had a drop on 1-on-1s. He’s had a few drops in camp.

  • Rookie Malik Washington had a nice touchdown grab in 1-on-1s.

  • Tyreek Hill had a few early catches and not surprisingly seems geeked to face the Falcons today.

  • Tua Tagovailoa tried to complete a pass to Tyreek Hill across the middle but it was knocked away.

  • De’Von Achane was stopped at the line of scrimmage. How will Miami’s offensive line hold up vs. Atlanta?

  • Willie Snead had a nice grab across the middle from Mike White.

  • One of the Dolphins’ backup center had a high snap. When will this madness end?

  • Tua rolled to his left and found Tyreek in the flat.

  • Jaylen Wright showed another gear on a burst through the middle.

  • Skylar Thompson rolled right and hit River Cracraft over the middle. Cracraft’s roster spot seems safe.

  • Willie Snead had another drop. He’s not helping himself.

  • PLAY OF DAY CANDIDATE: Tua hits Tyreek on fly pattern. Hill celebrates by leaping over barrier into crowd beyond the end zone. Fans go bonkers. “Tua! Tua! Tua!”

  • Rookie Malik Washington had a high, leaping grab. This is a nice day for Malik.

  • Snead with another drop. Brutal day.

  • Tua and his center had another problematic exchange. This was Aaron Brewer. Clean it up.

  • Tua was intercepted on a short pass by Mike Hughes of UCF. River Cracraft was the intended receiver.

  • Mike White fired it into Malik Washington over the middle. Breakout day for Washington.

  • Jaylen Wright is surely going to work to improve his consistency in the receiving game. He needs that element to his game.

PRACTICE ENDS AT 12:13 P.M.

Miami Dolphins Defense vs. Atlanta Falcons training camp notes

  • Kader Kohou was step for step against OJ Hilare in DB vs. WR drills.

  • Kyle Pitts caught a ball over Ezekiel Vandenburgh.

  • Dylan Drummond couldn't shake Isaiah Johnson.

  • Zach Sieler would have recovered a low snap bobbled by Kirk Cousins. The play was basically blown dead.

  • Kendall Fuller was step for step vs. Pitts.

  • Jalen Ramsey emphatically broke up a Cousins pass to Darnell Mooney.

  • Quinton Bell batted down a Cousins pass. D was stout vs. Cousins & Co. on that series.

  • Chop Robinson chopped down Carlos Washington Jr. If Robinson arrived any sooner, he would have intercepted the handoff from Michael Penix Jr.

  • Teair Tart stopped Tyler Allgeier before he could get to the edge.

  • Bijan Robinson just zig-zagged his way through the middle of the Dolphins' D.

  • David Long Jr. with nice stop on Allgeier.

  • Sieler likely would have sacked Cousins.

  • Robinson had a clean shot at Allgeier.

  • Ramsey came up after a stop jawing big-time at the Falcons.

  • Carlos Washington Jr. found running room around the right side. Then up the middle for a handful of yards.

  • Jase McClellan was trying to haul in a Penix pass when he heard footsteps from Cam Brown.

  • Channing Tindall sighting! He stopped Allgeier cold.

  • Penix incomplete. Johnson on the coverage.

  • Kohou batted down a Cousins pass.

  • DUST-UP ALERT! Elijah Campbell hits Drake London after a reception. London bounces off Ethan Bonner and there's a major coming together by both teams. McDaniel rushes in to try to quell disturbance. Somehow, Hill ended up in the mix even though he'd been on the other field. So did Terron Armstead.

  • Robinson stopped by Bell & Co.

  • Cousins finds London over Fuller. London does nice job to get his feet down in bounds.

  • Allgeier run blown up by Riley.

  • Penix found KhaDarel Hodge along the sidelines inches over Neal for a good gain.

  • Ogbah gets encouragement from both Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb after a stop.

  • Cousins tries to lob one to Mooney in the end zone, but Fuller and Holland combine to break it up.

  • Marcus Maye breaks up a pass by Cousins in the end zone.

  • Penix's turn in red zone. Da'Shawn Hand stuffs Allgeier. On second-and-goal at the 7, Penix hits Washington for the score.

  • In two-minute drill starting on Falcons' 35: Cousins to Hodge against Fuller for good gain. On third down, Cousins slips pass by Robinson to Pitts before drill fizzles.
