Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Waddle among 5 Miami Dolphins making NFL's top 100 players countdown

The NFL was entering its fourth installment of the top 100 players as voted on by their peers, yet in each batch of 10 players, no Dolphins had been named.

This week changed that, big time.

Four Dolphins made the list of Nos. 61-70. Plus, the Dolphins revealed Thursday that running back Raheem Mostert is No. 60.

The other selections thus far are linebacker Bradley Chubb (No. 62), receiver Jaylen Waddle (63), safety Jordan Poyer (65) and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (67).

This marks the third time each of those four has made the top 100. It's Mostert's debut in the top 100.

Chubb last made the cut in 2021, ranking 40th.

“Chubb suffered a torn ACL late in the 2023 season and there hasn’t been a timeline on when he’ll return for the 2024 campaign, but he certainly left his mark last year,” NFL.com wrote.

Waddle was 44th in 2023.

“Since entering the league in 2021, Waddle has developed into one of the best deep ball threats in the league,” the site wrote.

Poyer, a newcomer from Buffalo, was 57th in 2023.

“His ball-hawking instincts have made him one of the top at his position,” the site wrote. “However, the Bills defense will look different after it released Poyer in a salary cap-cutting move.”

Armstead moved up from No. 83 last year.

“Armstead makes his second straight Top 100 appearance despite only playing in 10 games,” NFL.com wrote. “Armstead dealt with injuries to his ankle, back, knee and quadriceps during the 2023 campaign, but remained one of the top offensive tackles in the league regardless.”

The league will continue to count up to the top 10, which will be revealed on NFL Network on Aug. 2. Dolphins in the running include receiver Tyreek Hill (No. 7 last year), cornerback Jalen Ramsey (36th) and possibly quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
