MIAMI GARDENS - Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins had their 8th practice of training camp on Friday at the Baptist Health Training Complex.

Tua wore the orange practice jersey, designated for the best player of the last practice.

Here are some more observations from Dolphins training camp

• Tyreek Hill was not spotted early in practice. Later, Hill appeared at Dolphins practice.

• Special teams coach Danny Crossman is engaged in conversation with seven officials here. I can guess they're talking about the new kickoff rules.

• Jaelan Phillips is working really hard with trainers on the side. Phillips (Achilles) is clearly making progression. He's an incredible athlete.

• Tua just dropped one in the bucket to Braylon Sanders. He’s so impressive in the area of accuracy and touch.

• Tua just ovethrew Braxton Berrios for a deep touchdown.

• Mike White was intercepted by Jason Maitre.

• Jalen Ramsey forced Raheem Mostert to fumble and Jevon Holland recovered.

• Edge rusher Quinton Bell continues to make an imprint on defense.

• Twice, early in practice, Tua was under pressure and unable to find a receiver downfield so he just tucked the ball away.

• Some chippiness, edge, aggression from Miami Dolphins D today. They seem annoyed O did well Thursday.

• There have been too many drops from RBs early in training camp.

• Patrick McMorris had an interception of Mike White, but it would have been negated by an offsides. Too many offsides on defense today.

• The Dolphins added a million DTs but Da’Shawn Hand still seems squarely in the mix.

• Defensive lineman Jonathan Harris made a few positive plays.

• Nik Needham had a nice pass breakup in the middle of the field.

• Ethan Bonner intercepted Tua on a deep ball for Tyreek Hill.
