  • On Jalen Ramsey, who hasn't practiced yet this week (hamstring): We're going to be smart but we're eager to get him out there. I would anticipate he'll practice today. Don't know the level yet. Whether he can play in the game, I don't know.

  • On Ramsey's extension: McDaniel confirms it. "It's awesome for me to have fundamental beliefs and foundational beliefs on what we're here to do as coaches. The players that we get, we're supposed to maximize them. ... I'm happy with everything we've done as an organization."

  • More Ramsey: "Jalen saw a different level of player and leader this team could benefit from" when he arrived. Adds that real leaders don't necessarily have to play to make an impact.

  • On the OL and if Liam Eichenberg will be at RG and not C: Yes, RG. (Meaning Aaron Brewer will be at center.)

  • On if all the penalties for illegal formation vs. the Ravens are a concern: Anything being emphasized by the league is discussed at the Friday team meeting.

  • On playing Sunday and then again on Thursday night: "You're looking at Mr. Load Management." But adds that players will tell you this is the hardest they've practiced this summer. Says coaches will push players while also managing their loads over the course of the week."

  • On the NFL going globally and if he'd like to see the Dolphins playing in Latin America: "Yeah." Adds, "The growth is paramount to everything we want and is everything that keeps our great game going."
