Miami Dolphins depth chart revealed: See the initial roster depth

MIAMI GARDENS - The first Miami Dolphins depth chart of the preseason has been revealed.

We know where stars like Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Jalen Ramsey stand.

But what about the fierce battles at guard?

What about all those defensive linemen?

How do coach Mike McDaniel and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver view the depth chart of initial roster?

Miami Dolphins depth chart update: What we notice

QB: Tua Tagovailoa, Mike White, Skylar Thompson

  • No surprises.

RB: Raheem Mostert, De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson, Salvon Ahmed, Jaylen Wright, Chris Brooks

  • Alec Ingold is starting fullback, obviously. Ahmed is listed ahead of Wright ONLY because Wright is a rookie.

WR: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, Willie Snead, Anthony Schwartz, Braylon Sanders, Malik Washington , Kydric McGowan, Je'Quan Burton.

  • OBJ and Erik Ezukanma are hurt at the moment. Cracraft and Washington will be interesting to watch in joint practices and the preseason. Snead and Schwartz are listed ahead of Washington because Washington is a rookie.

TE: Durham Smythe, Jonnu Smith, Julian Hill, Jody Fortson, Tanner Conner, Hayden Rucci

  • Do Conner or Fortson have a real shot to make the team as TE4? Forston and Conner are really an either/or here.

OT: Terron Armstead, Austin Jackson, Kendall Lamm, Patrick Paul, Ryan Hayes, Bayron Matos

  • Paul's development in 2024 is essential. Kion Smith can play guard and tackle.

Miami Dolphins key training camp battle: guard

G: Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones, Jack Driscoll, Kion Smith, Matthew Jones, Lester Cotton, Chasen Hines

  • Isaiah Wynn is hurt at the moment. Liam and Robert are the leaders.

C: Aaron Brewer, Andrew Meyer, Sean Harlow, . Eichenberg can play center.

  • Dolphins may monitor backup center market.

Miami Dolphins key training camp battle: defensive line

DL: Zach Sieler, Calais Campbell, Benito Jones, Da'Shawn Hand, Jonathan Harris, Teair Tart, Neville Gallimore, Brandon Pili, Isaiah Mack

  • The Dolphins need a big man - any big man - to step up in a big way.

Edge: Emmanuel Ogbah, Quinton Bell, Chop Robinson, Cam Brown, Mo Kamara, Grayson Murphy

  • Bell has been the biggest surprise of training camp. Listed as a starter right now, folks. Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Cameron Goode not practicing yet. Kamara third team? Rookie.

ILB: Jordyn Brooks, David Long, Duke Riley, Anthony Walker, Zeke Vandenburgh, Channing Tindall

  • Last chance for Tindall, one would think.

CB: Jalen Ramsey, Kendall Fuller, Kader Kohou, Ethan Bonner, Cam Smith, Siran Neal, Nik Needham

  • Miami's depth at corner seems acceptable.

S: Jevon Holland, Jordan Poyer, Marcus Maye, Elijah Campbell, Patrick McMorris

  • Maye is a very good option as a third safety.
