March Madness scores, results: Yale's upset of Auburn highlights NCAA men's tournament Day 2 action

The Madness continued Friday with a full slate of action on the men's side as the field was trimmed to 32 teams.

The early window was pretty well chalk before a wild finish to Colorado-Florida and Yale-Auburn late in the afternoon. Colorado knocked off Florida with a last-gasp corner jumper that rattled around the rim and then Yale stunned Auburn in the tournament's biggest upset so far — and that all happened in a matter of minutes.

    The Antelopes become the second 12 seed to knock off a No. 5 seed in this tournament. Led by Tyon Grant-Foster's 22 points, the WAC champs pull away from the Gaels in the second half. It's the first tournament win in school history for Grand Canyon.

  • The Antelopes look like they're going to hold on for the win after a sequence with a tough finish by Ray Harrison and then a block at the other end.

  • The Gaels have cut it all the way down to six points. We might have a game here late.

  • Final: Utah State 88, TCU 72

    TCU kept it close for a half, but Utah State showed it's a far superior team late. Ian Martinez led the Horned Frogs with 21 points.

  • Grand Canyon is looking like it may provide the second 12-5 upset of the evening. The Antelopes are firmly in control, now up 17 with just over 11 minutes left in the game.

  • Utah State is pulling away from TCU now. The Aggies are up 14 with under 4 minutes left.

    The Dukes led wire to wire in this 12-5 matchup. They advance to face No. 4 Duke in the second round.

  • Final: Houston 86, Longwood 46

    L.J. Cryer and Damian Dunn each scored 17 to lead the Cougars to an easy win in the first round. They'll face Texas A&M in Round 2 on Sunday.

    One year after getting bounced out of the first round as a No. 1 seed, the Boilermakers actually look the part this tournament and blow out their 16th-seeded opponent.

  • The Cougars aren't messing around tonight.

  • Houston-Longwood is underway. The Cougars are 24.5-point favorites in that one. They've made it to at least the Sweet 16 the last four tournaments under Kelvin Sampson.

  • Alabama and Purdue both hold big leads in this window. Zach Edey has 26 and 20 as the Boilermakers look to wrap things up in their opener.
