How LSU women's basketball 5-star commit Divine Bourrage fits in Kim Mulkey's 2025 squad
BATON ROUGE — After a bit of a quiet high school recruiting class in 2024, LSU women's basketball is already well on its way to making a far bigger splash with its 2025 recruiting class.
Business picked back up Thursday when five-star guard Divine Bourrage gave her commitment to Kim Mulkey and the Tigers. The 6-foot guard is the second commitment this cycle for the Tigers, as Bourrage joins New Mexico native Bella Hines, who committed in April.
A consensus top-10 recruit in the 2025 class, Bourrage, the Davenport, Iowa native, chose LSU over reigning national champions South Carolina, Arizona and Virginia Tech among a few others. Bourrage just took an official visit to LSU this past weekend along with two other highly touted prospects Zakiyah Johnson and Grace Knox.
If Bourrage signs, she would give Mulkey her third top 10 high school signee during her stint as LSU's head coach.

LSU will be in need of a few more true ball handlers next season as Last-Tear Poa and Shyanne Day-Wilson are slated to graduate while guards Jada Richard and Kailyn GIlbert still have at least one year of eligibility remaining. It remains to be seen what Hines' role could be with next season's LSU team. She brings the ball up the floor in high school and AAU games.
Bourrage adds more size to the backcourt, in the same vein as star Mikaylah Williams, and is a three-level scorer. Bourrage has the ability to take a defender off the dribble and get into the lane, where she's an above average passer, or to create space for herself and her jumpshot.
The Tigers need a sharpshooter from the perimeter and there's potential for Bourrage for fill that role on the next level.
One thing Mulkey always values is a player's ability to defend and Bourrage has solid footwork in a defensive stance and should bring some defensive presence to LSU.
