LSU baseball's game vs Ole Miss will come out of weather delay at this time
BATON ROUGE — LSU baseball's SEC series opening game against Ole Miss were in the midst of a weather delay Thursday.
And the game is slated to restart at 7:20 p.m.
Lightning was visible and detected within the regulated eight-mile radius of Alex Box Stadium and officials paused the game. The game has been in delay since 5:44 p.m. and will officially get back underway after an hour and 36-minute pause.
The contest is delayed for at least 30 minutes from the last lightning strike detected, per NCAA rules of inclement weather. Officials said the game would resumed as soon as they're giving the all clear.
LSU is leading Ole Miss, 5-1, in the bottom of the sixth.
The game was initially scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but was moved up to a 4 p.m. start to help avoid inclement weather forecast for Baton Rouge.
