A look at Tennessee's victory against Kentucky in 2022

No. 7 Tennessee (6-1, 3-1 SEC) will host Kentucky (3-5, 1-5 SEC) Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 10 of the 2024 college football season.

Kickoff is slated for 7:45 p.m. EDT and SEC Network will televise the contest.

Each week, Vols Wire will look back at a memorable game against Tennessee's upcoming opponent.

This installment will revisit the Vols', 44-6, victory against Kentucky on Oct. 29, 2022.

Tennessee led, 27-6, at halftime. The Vols never trailed in the contest.

Tennessee scored first after Hendon Hooker completed a 55-yard touchdown pass to Jalin Hyatt with 13 minutes, 53 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored the Wildcats' only touchdown in the contest during the first quarter before Tennessee scored 20 unanswered points in the second quarter.

Tennessee's defense forced three turnovers as Kentucky quarterback Will Levis recorded three interceptions in the game. Tennessee's Juwan Mitchell, Brandon Turnage and Doneiko Slaughter each recorded an interception for the Vols.

Hooker completed 19-of-25 passing attempts for 325 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Jabari Small totaled 78 rushing yards on 21 attempts, while Jaylen Wright recorded 73 rushing yards and one touchdown on seven attempts for Tennessee.

Hyatt was the Vols' leading receiver, totaling five receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
