Lions DL injury woes mount: Mekhi Wingo misses practice, Josh Paschal out vs. Packers
The Detroit Lions will be without their top three defensive ends for a second straight week.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said Friday defensive end Josh Paschal will miss his second straight game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers for medical reasons, but that Paschal's condition is not a long-term concern.
"Nothing long-term, which is great news," Campbell said at the Lions' facility in Allen Park. "And we’re hopeful we’ll get him back next week.”

The Lions lost starting defensive ends Marcus Davenport and Aidan Hutchinson to potential season-ending injuries early this season, and Paschal did not play last week against the Tennessee Titans for health reasons.
Paschal recently underwent his annual cancer screening after he was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in 2018 at Kentucky. He told MLive.com his absence was related to the diagnosis, but that he did not have a recurrence of cancer.
Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez also will miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury, and rookie defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo (ankle) and running back Sione Vaki (knee) are doubtful. Wingo, who was injured Thursday in practice, spent the open portion of Friday's practice working on the side with a trainer.

Wingo, who spent the open portion of Friday's practice working on the side with trainers, has played rotational snaps at end this season as the Lions have tried to fill in for the loss of Davenport and Hutchinson. Defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike and practice squad linebacker Al-Quadin Muhammad started at end against the Titans.
