Will Levis stats: Play-by-play rundown of every pass Titans' QB threw at Wednesday practice
This is Will Levis' team, and he's acting like it.
The Tennessee Titans took the field for their first day of training camp on Wednesday, with Levis leading the way heading into his first full season as an NFL starting quarterback. Based on how he talks about his process, Levis is certainly in the right headspace.
"This is our fourth or fifth time going through (a practice in coach Brian Callahan's scheme)," Levis said, counting OTA and minicamp sessions. "It's having the diligence to take down the same notes for the fourth or fifth time and then try to find those few things that you might not have caught on the first time around that you can add to the arsenal. Maybe you might've had one or two thoughts on a certain play. Maybe those thoughts you don't have to even think about now. So now it's a couple more thoughts that you can add in to make you make those more intricate and important decisions."
Equipped with that knowledge and comfort, Levis had a fairly strong first day of training camp. Here's a play-by-play breakdown of Levis' Wednesday.
HOW GOOD? Are Tennessee Titans any good? After offseason of tumult, Brian Callahan's not ready to answer
Will Levis stats: 7-on-7 drills in Tennessee Titans training camp Day 1
Rep 1: Levis completes crossing route to tight end Chig Okonkwo for a roughly 10-yard gain.
Rep 2: Levis completes quick out to receiver Tyler Boyd.
Rep 3: Levis completes quick out to receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
Rep 4: Levis completes flare out to tight end Josh Whyle.
Rep 5: Levis throws incomplete to Boyd on a quick hitch. Levis' throw was off-target low, but Boyd still got two hands on the pass for a drop.
Rep 6: Levis checks down to running back Tyjae Spears for a short gain after no one was open downfield.
Rep 7: Levis completes to Boyd on a dart out after Boyd came across the formation in motion.
Rep 8: Levis completes a slant to Treylon Burks for what likely would've been a long run-after-catch.
Final stats: 7-for-8 passing with one errant throw, zero bad decisions and one dropped pass.
ESTES: What I think as Will Levis and the supposedly stinky Tennessee Titans get started
Will Levis stats: 11-on-11 drills in Titans training camp Day 1
Rep 1: Levis squeezes a slant through a relatively-tight window to receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Rep 2: Levis throws incomplete to receiver Calvin Ridley on a deeper slant or skinny post. Cornerback Roger McCreary had a beat on this play from the start and will be credited with a pass breakup, but Ridley is really the one who made sure McCreary didn't catch the ball, not the other way around.
Rep 3: Levis connects with Westbrook-Ikhine on a gorgeous corner route for potentially the biggest gain of the day. Levis lofted the ball over double coverage to put it a place only Westbrook-Ikhine could make the play, and the veteran receiver finished things off with a toe-drag.

Rep 4: Levis throws incomplete to Ridley on a toe-tapper of an out route down the sideline. Ridley probably should've caught this one. But the play probably would've been a sack in live action either way.
Rep 5: Levis throws into traffic trying to find Westbrook-Ikhine. Linebacker Jack Gibbens breaks up the ill-advised pass.
Rep 6: Levis completes another slant to Hopkins.
Rep 7: Levis throws incomplete into an area where there wasn't a receiver particularly close by, begging the question of whether there was a miscommunication.
Rep 8: Levis finally gets a pass to stick in Ridley's hands, connecting on a deep out route where Ridley was able to flash his footwork to end the day.
Final stats: 4-for-8 passing with three impressive completions, one bad decision, one miscommunication and one incompletion that probably should've been a catch.
