Will Levis stats: Every pass Tennessee Titans quarterback threw at Thursday practice
Will Levis is still easing into training camp, but the Tennessee Titans quarterback is making the easing process look easy.
Levis had his second-straight accurate day on the second day of preseason practices, completing 80% of his attempts across 7-on-7 and team drills. Most of his attempts were fired fairly short range as the Titans are still acclimating to the offseason ramp-up process and holding off on deep shots until everyone's in better shape. Nevertheless, completing four out of every five attempts is nothing to scoff at, especially when a couple of his incompletions came on balls that could've been caught.
Here's the play-by-play breakdown of Levis' practice on Thursday.
BIG MAN, BIG PLAYS: Titans T'Vondre Sweat feels great, is moving well and won't back down on where 'the real UT' is
Will Levis stats: 7-on-7 drills
Rep 1: Levis completes to tight end Chig Okonkwo on a short stick route to the left side of the formation.
Rep 2: Levis connects with receiver Treylon Burks on a drag route moving left to right across the defense.
Rep 3: Levis finds receiver DeAndre Hopkins on an out route.
Rep 4: Levis hits Okonkwo on a curl route in one-on-one coverage against rookie Gabe Jeudy-Lally. The timing on this ball hit Okonkwo right as he turned to meet the pass, beating Jeudy-Lally by a fraction of a second.
Rep 5: Levis fires deep for receiver Tyler Boyd on a would-be big gainer, but cornerback Roger McCreary closes space while the ball is in the air and beats Boyd to the punch for a pass breakup.
Rep 6: Levis checks down to running back Tony Pollard on a swing route to the left.
Rep 7: Levis finds tight end Nick Vannett on an out route from the slot position.
Rep 8: Levis has to spin and scramble out of the pocket after no one comes open on first break and rolls to his left before finding tight end Josh Whyle downfield.
Final stats: 7-for-8, completions to six different receivers, one PBU, zero bad reads
Will Levis stats: Team drills
Rep 1: Levis hits Whyle on a crossing route up the middle.
Rep 2: Levis times up with receiver Calvin Ridley on a curl route for a completion.
Rep 3: Levis handles a little bit of pressure in his face to connect with Boyd on an out route.
Rep 4: Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons bats a Levis pass back into Levis' face and down onto the ground for an incompletion.
Rep 5: Levis hones his connection with Vannett on another curl route, though this play might've been called back for holding on right tackle John Ojukwu against blitzing defensive back Jamal Adams.
Rep 6: Levis checks down to running back Tyjae Spears short.
Rep 7: Levis is incomplete on a pass thrown into tight coverage between Hopkins and Jeudy-Lally. There was a lot of hand-fighting from both directions on this play, so a flag may well have been thrown, but it could've been thrown on either player.
Final stats: 5-for-7, completions to five different receivers, two PBUs
