The 2024 high school girls’ volleyball season in Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas is coming to an end as teams are deep into district play.

With district matchups and final tuneups before the LHSAA Volleyball State Tournament, teams across the 337 are hosting one last festive-filled night- Senior night. Teams honor their senior players who will play in their final high school volleyball match dawning their respective school colors.

Teams typically face a district foe for senior night and the match marks the last home game of the regular season. The matchup gives their home crowd one final showdown and bids a farewell to the seniors in the program. The most common senior night date for teams in the area this year is Oct. 29 with nine teams hosting their senior night festivities on that day.

Only Notre Dame has hosted senior night earlier in October hosting Episcopal of Acadiana. This is the most common senior night opponent for area teams with three teams facing the Falcons. Northwest, Westgate, and Comeaux are other common opponents with two teams hosting them for their senior nights.
