Rams’ star running running back Kyren Williams was given another responsibility. On Tuesday, Sean McVay told reporters that he will be the team’s punt returner for the 2024 season.

Williams, who had a monster season on the ground in 2023, returned just three punts for 21 yards. He also had five fair catches.

Williams did not return a punt in 2022 but in 2021, he returned 14 punts for 151 yards at Notre Dame.

With Tutu Atwell’s struggles and the departure of Xavier Smith as a part of final cuts, Williams will seemingly have plenty of opportunities to make a difference on special teams.

This will also seemingly give Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers more opportunities as ball carriers on offense, taking some of the workload off of Williams' shoulders.
