Kansas football weather delay: When will WVU game resume, what network will it be on?

UPDATE: 4:36 p.m. (ET): What network is showing Kansas football vs West Virginia when it resumes?

When Kansas football's game against West Virginia resumes, it can be viewed on ESPNews and ESPN+. It's set to begin at 4:44 p.m. (ET). The Jayhawks lead 21-17 with 10:43 left in the fourth quarter.

UPDATE, 4:10 p.m. (ET): Time determined for when Kansas football game will resume

Another announcement was made in the press box. The 30-minute waiting period is set to end at 4:29 p.m. (ET), as long as nothing changes weather-wise, and after that there would be a 15-minute warmup period. The game is scheduled to resume at 4:44 p.m. (ET).

A handful of minutes after the delay began, another announcement was made in the press box. They anticipate 90 minutes of lightning from that point. Once the last lightning strike happens, there is a 30-minute waiting period that needs to be completed.

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Kansas football’s Big 12 Conference matchup against West Virginia has entered a severe weather delay after lightning in the fourth quarter.

The stoppage came with 10:43 remaining in regulation, and Kansas leading 21-17 and in possession of the ball on offense. The delay began at 2:46 p.m. (ET). There was a warning made through an announcement in the third quarter this was possible.

“The game is suspended due to severe weather,” a message read on the scoreboard as the announcement in the fourth quarter about the delay was made. “You must leave the seating area immediately. Seek shelter on the concourse, restrooms, indoor practice facility or return to your vehicle. Re-enter stadium when play resumes with your game ticket.”
