Giants coach Brian Daboll sounded pretty bewildered by Daniel Jones throwing a pick-6 in a preseason game
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones might be on the hot seat after his abysmal preseason performance against the Houston Texans on Saturday.
Jones threw two ugly picks against the Texans, which doesn't inspire a ton of confidence that he's the right starter for the Giants this fall as the team tries to make it back to the playoffs.
After the game, New York coach Brian Daboll tried to process exactly how Jones threw his first interception, a pick-6, and he seemed a bit bewildered himself as to how it happened.
Daboll deserves credit for being calm, cool and collected during his answer, but he also seemed understandably exhausted by everything. He's got a big task ahead of him to navigate New York back to the postseason, and Jones' play is going to weigh heavily into that equation.
It doesn't feel impossible right now for Jones to lose his starting job before the season, as Daboll and company have a lot to consider before the season starts.
