Jayden Daniels not sliding on a quarterback run prompted a funny moment on the Commanders sideline
Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels committed a cardinal sin during NFL preseason on Saturday, and coach Dan Quinn seemed to instantly let him know about it.
During Washington's road game against the Miami Dolphins, Daniels decided to run with the ball instead of slide for the first down like you're typically supposed to in the preseason (and even the regular season to avoid unnecessary contact with the defense).
The second Daniels got up from the ground after being tackled, he immediately looked at Quinn, probably knowing he got busted for running with the ball instead of sliding like he was supposed to do.
Quinn's reaction seemed to be telling Daniels to go down with a slide instead of tucking the ball and running, which is great advice for the young quarterback to remember the next time he's in this scenario.

This was all pretty funny to watch in the moment, and we're sure Quinn will have some great commentary for this moment once he breaks it down with Daniels and the rest of the Commanders after the game.
More NFL!
