Former OU quarterbacks Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts in NFL Pro Bowl 2024: How to watch

A pair of former OU quarterbacks were chosen to play in the upcoming 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games.

Baker Mayfield of the Buccaneers and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles were both selected Tuesday for the event, which is set for this week in Orlando, Florida.

Mayfield is replacing Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who chose not to compete, while Hurts will fill in for 49ers signal caller Brock Purdy as Super Bowl players are not allowed to participate.

Mayfield and Hurts aren’t the only players with Oklahoma ties who were selected to the roster.

Also making the NFC squad were former OU stars Lane Johnson (Eagles offensive tackle), CeeDee Lamb (Cowboys receiver) and Trent Williams (49ers offensive tackle) and former Norman standout George Kittle (49ers tight end).

Selected to the AFC team were former Oklahoma State star Tyreek Hill (Dolphins receiver) and former OU standouts Creed Humphrey (Chiefs center) and Marvin Mims Jr. (Broncos kick returner).

For the second straight year, the Pro Bowl will feature flag football rather than a tackle game. There will be three 7-on-7 flag football games.

Former NFL quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning will be the coaches. Eli will lead the NFC, while Peyton will coach the AFC.
