Florida State football is out of the top 25 rankings after a disastrous two-week stretch to open the season.

The Seminoles (0-2) were ranked No. 10 in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 Poll in the preseason, with voters across the country confident FSU would be one of the nation's premier programs going into the season.

Instead, FSU was vastly underwhelming in the 24-21 loss to Georgia Tech and the 28-13 embarrassment against Boston College Monday night at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Seminoles offense looked flat in both games and the defense, which many voters thought would be a strength, has not lived up to expectations.

The back-to-back losses led to the slide out of the top 25 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, and it'll take a lot of convincing to reenter the rankings at some point this season.

FSU also dropped out of the AP Poll Top 25.

This is the first time FSU is unranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll since week 11 of the 2022 season. It would also be the first time the Seminoles are unranked in the AP Poll since the week 10 release in the 2022 season.

FSU has a bye week coming up, returning to action against Memphis on Saturday, Sep. 14, with kickoff from Doak Campbell Stadium at noon.
