Does FSU play today? College football schedule for Seminoles' next game after Week 2 bye

The bye week could not have come at a better time for FSU football.

Following two underwhelming performances against Georgia Tech and Boston College in Weeks 0 and 1, respectively, the Seminoles are on a bye as college football heads into Week 2 of the season. At 0-2 on the season, Mike Norvell's squad dropped out of both the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 poll this week after being a preseason top-10 team.

While Florida State struggled at times in Week 0 vs. Georgia Tech, the Seminoles hit as close to rock bottom as a team could get in Week 1 vs. Boston College. The Seminoles were outplayed by the Eagles, as Boston College finished with 369 total yards of offense compared to FSU's 293. FSU only converted three times on third down all night, finishing 3-for-14 on conversion attempts.

Despite throwing for 250-plus yards, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei also struggled, as he completed only 50% of his passes and threw a costly interception, which prompted "We want Brock" chants to break out for backup quarterback Brock Glenn.

FSU, who is just the fifth team ever to be ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll and lose its first two games, returns to action in Week 3 with a home game vs. Memphis. Here's what you need to know about the Seminoles' remaining schedule:

Does FSU football play today?

No. The Seminoles are currently on the first of two byes this season in Week 2.

By having a Week 0 game in Dublin vs. Georgia Tech and playing on Monday night against Boston College in Week 1, FSU has already played two games already this season — one more game than the vast majority of Division I teams.

The Seminoles will return to action in Week 3, when they welcome Memphis into Doak S. Campbell Stadium. It is the first time that FSU and Memphis will play each other since the 1990 college football season when the Seminoles came out with a 35-3 win in Orlando.

Next Saturday's game against Memphis will start a four-game stretch for FSU, as the Seminoles will play Cal in Week 4, head to SMU in Week 5 and host No. 22 Clemson in Week 6 before heading into their second bye week of the season in Week 7.
