New Orleans Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi enjoyed a strong start to his tenure, winning his first challenge in his new position during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The decision to challenge the play came on a pass that was ruled complete, but was ultimately overturned for the outcome that favored Rizzi and the Saints.

Rizzi had the Saints on a positive trajectory against one of the NFL's hottest teams, as New Orleans led Atlanta, 20-17, at the top of the fourth quarter. With the Saints riding a seven-game losing streak, this was one of the team's strongest performances since they opened the season with back-to-back victories.

Rizzi, despite a couple of questionable play calls in this one, especially on fourth down, has garnered a lot of praise and support for the aggressiveness and confidence he's shown the sideline. It's much-needed and refreshing for a fan base that has witnessed nothing but pure stagnancy for months on end now.
