Week 10 will mark the beginning of the Rizz era. Special teams coordinator turned interim head coach, Darren Rizzi, will lead the New Orleans Saints for the first time against the Atlanta Falcons.

Taking over from Dennis Allen, Rizzi will be the eighth interim head coach in Saints history, and the bar isn't high to become one of the most successful. Joe Vitt is the winningest interim coach in Saints history.

Vitt won five games and went .500 when filling in for Sean Payton in 2012. Both of those marks are franchise-highs for interim coaches. The next-closest coach is Aaron Kromer, who won two games in six attempts.

The latter is much closer to how Saints' interim coaches have fared. Five of the seven coaches won only one game. In other words, a win on Sunday would tie Rizzi with the third most wins by an interim coach.

If he's really aiming high, Rizzi would have to lose no more than two of the remaining eight games to overtake Vitt for the most victories. A 6-2 finish would garner Rizzi serious consideration for the head coaching job next season.
